I dont know what this is called in Tagalog or in any dialect in the Philippines, but we call this binignit or tabirak in our Cebuano language.  We have not eaten this Filipino delicacy in a while, and we were all missing it.  One day hubby was so desperate he made binignit with what ingredient was available.
Sweet potato
Sago (we found sago balls that needed to be cooked)
Roasted then ground monggo
Coconut milk
Gabi (what is this called in English? Haha! )
I know,  our binignit lacked the so many other ingredients it should have.  But it sure was yummy.  We would like to do it again.  We just have to look for those missing ingredients from I dont know where! LOL!
